It’s like very okay, but I already forgot it.

WALL-E (2008)

WALL-E (2008)

Pixar's 2000s run of movies is arguably the best from any animation studio in history. It began with Monsters, Inc., continued with Finding Nemo, The Incredibles, Cars, Ratatouille, WALL-E, and culminated with Up. This stretch boasts some of the greatest animated films ever made. It's no wonder everyone has a favourite from this era, a movie that holds a special place in their heart. For me, that special one is, in fact, WALL-E.

I could write a novel about WALL-E's perfection – the story, the setting, and especially the characters. But that's been done, and frankly, it's not that interesting anymore. What makes WALL-E my favorite Pixar film is something far more specific: it's one of the very few movies where I actively root for the happy ending. I despise the cliché happy endings that get throws at us (especially in American films), but in WALL-E, I crave that happy resolution. That, combined with the unique characters, design, and the near absence of dialogue for most of the film, elevates WALL-E to my all-time favourite Pixar movie. It's hard to imagine anything surpassing it.

Avatar: The Last Airbender (2024)

WHY? JUST WHY? LIKE UGH

Is it that bad? Yes. Is it as bad as it could have been? Eh not really. Is it still insanely bad? oh yes.

None of the fucking actors sound like human beings, their all fucking written characters and it shows. The children are written like their full grown adults.

Every.single.change.from.the.original.is.crap.

WHY WAS THIS MADE?

Oh I know why, money! Because you fuck you.

Dream Scenario (2023)

Dream Scenario (2023)

This had an interesting idea, and overall good. But the second part and especially the ending fizzle out quite badly. I wasn’t that interesting throughout.
