The Man Standing Next (2020)

The Man Standing Next (2020)

Wasn’t groundbreaking in any way but a fun watch, it’s one of the better ways to do a spy drama and it’s quite entertaining though out, I didn’t get the choice to show the ending at the start because I don’t think it added anything? This is a four star movie but because of my long standing no political movies position I bump it down to a three star.

The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo (2011)

It’s safe to say I am not a fan of Fincher work, there’s something missing in it for me. And it’s exactly the same for this movie, it’s good but still misses that something.

I think the solving of the crime in this one are way worse then even the Zodiac, you never really get a chance to think who it is because the meeting with the family members are so short. Which isn’t an issue but can be annoying for some. I also dislike the love story, it felt very forced out of nowhere and while I enjoy the ending of it I didn’t feel like it was required.

Overall good movie with a few downsides but I can easily see how someone would love this.

10 Cloverfield Lane (2016)

This was sick! I love the tension building and it was not insanely dumb. I hate J.J. Abrams and his inclusion is basically everything that was bad in this movie.

The ending is the worst part of this movie, the last ten minutes are just horrible and shit.

Not every movie has to have a feel good ending, especially this one.

Peterson (2016)

The most Jim Jarmusch movie out there? While I did enjoy it the subject matter of a poetry definitely isn’t for me, it’s not boring just for Jarmusch film you need to be really into the subject to enjoy, like Night on Earth. Night on Earth is my type of Jarmusch movie. Overall enjoyable experience but be aware that you might hate this.
